Educators
Educators — would you like to request a presentation from an Art Institutes High School Representative?
During this lively presentation geared toward high school junior and seniors, your students will learn more about our creative programs
and careers. This interactive multimedia presentation is about 45 minutes, but can be adjusted to your class schedule.
In addition to showing alumni and student work that illustrates the skills necessary in today's creative work force, we will emphasize
the importance of the following areas:
- Work Ethic/Professionalism — It's all about teamwork, a good attitude and having time management skills.
- Business Skills — All about developing a business plan, marketing a product and budgeting.
- Communication Skills — It takes strong written and verbal skills, analytical and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Technology Skills — A creative career may require proficiency in Director, Flash, Photoshop, CAD and Maya…just to name a few programs!
- Design Skills — Design, Media Arts, Fashion and Culinary Arts careers demand these skills.
- Scholarships/Financial Aid — Learn about the "Best Teen Chef" Competition, "Americans for the Arts" Poster Design Competition and other ways to earn money for an education.
As you can see, your students (and you!) can learn quite a bit about creative careers and what it takes to succeed in one. As a
business teacher in Fargo, North Dakota told us: "Best presentation ever, opened my students' eyes to the business side of a
creative career!"
